Default Gyro Stabilizer Recommendation

I am wanting to install a gyro/stabilizer on one of my older models. Could you recommend one that is easy to program and install? I am not the techyist pilot so simplicity is important. I have an AeroScout and love the options that it gives me. I also have a small SkyEagle that is fun to fly but virtually uncontrollable in the advanced mode, no a problem with the Aero Scout. The model I am interested in is an old Regal Eagle that I built with an electric ducted fan. I have not flown it as my piloting skills are going down as my age goes up. Want to hedge my bit for the Regal Eagle's first flight. Thanks for the comments.

What transmitter are you using? Most of the major brands have some sort of stability assist accessory..

Some of the Hitec equipment was compatible with Futaba protocols but it is been a long time since messed with either brand. Hitec used to market a HG3XA 3 axis gyro, you might find one on the used market. Is your Aurora on 72 or 2.4? They came in both. If you are running 2.4 you might find one of the Orange brand receivers with built in stabilization.

My Aurora 9 is a 2.4 tranny. I just hate to spend the money for a new tranny AND the time, effort, and FRUSTRATION in learning to operate a new unit, sigh. I have not tried to find a receiver/Orange brand for this purpose. I have looked on Amazon but I have no clue what to try. This is where RCU is supposed to come to my rescue.

There's plenty of gyros that are compatible with any radio, Demon Cortex, Aura8, and the iGyro all come to mind.

motion r/c sell a hobby eagle "A3 super 4" gyro that is easily programed and will work with all the radios i have tried with it. Aurora 9 included.
if your rx has serial coms available, it will also accept that for input.

Thanks for the reply I may contact Motion R/C and get their thoughts on my choice and hope that they may be able to help me in setting the gyro up, something Hobby King can't/won't do.
